Guggenheim Securities Announces Hiring of Rich McDermott; Launch of Focused Middle-Market Equities Effort

Guggenheim Securities today announced the hiring of Rich McDermott as a Managing Director in its New York office. Mr. McDermott is joining Guggenheim Securities with a mandate to build a focused middle-markets equities team.

Rich McDermott will be joining from Lazard Capital markets where he was a managing Director and head of middle-market equity sales. Previously, Mr. McDermott was a founding member of the middle-market sales team at Cowen and Company. He has both buy-side and sell-side experience from earlier roles at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
