NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced that Subash Chandra has joined its New York research team as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst covering energy exploration and production.
Mr. Chandra joins the existing energy team of Michael LaMotte, who follows oil services and equipment as an equities research analyst; Darren Gacicia, who follows offshore drilling and small-/mid-cap oil services as an equities research analyst, and Whitney Stanco, who follows energy policy as a policy analyst with the Washington Research Group.

Mr. Chandra was most recently a senior analyst at Jefferies LLC, where he led a team covering exploration and production companies since 2007 and was responsible for the firm’s natural gas forecasts. Earlier, he worked for nine years as a senior exploration and production analyst in Houston with Morgan Keegan after prior roles with AG Edwards and Edward Jones.
He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and holds a Certified Financial Analyst charter.
