Carlos Fierro Joins Guggenheim Securities as Senior Advisor to Expand Energy Practice

Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Carlos Fierro has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor.

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Carlos Fierro has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. The addition broadens the reach of Guggenheim Securities’ full-service investment banking efforts dedicated to the energy sector.

Mr. Fierro has over 25 years of experience advising clients in the energy and natural resources industries. He joins Guggenheim Securities after last serving as Managing Director and Global Head of the Natural Resources investment banking practice at Barclays. Prior to joining Barclays, he spent 11 years at Lehman Brothers where he served as a Managing Director and Global Head of the Natural Resources Group. Mr. Fierro began his career as a corporate, mergers & acquisitions and securities attorney with Baker Botts L.L.P.

Mr. Fierro currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Shell Midstream Partners, LP and Athabasca Oil Corporation. He also serves on the North American Energy Advisory Board of Trilantic Capital Partners.

Mr. Fierro earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from Harvard University. He will be based in Guggenheim’s Washington D.C. office.
