Guggenheim Securities Expands TMT Research With New Coverage of Software Sector

Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that four senior research professionals have joined the firm’s Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) equity research practice.

NEW YORK, NY – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that four senior research professionals have joined the firm’s Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) equity research practice. The TMT equity research practice launched new and differentiated coverage of companies in the software sector last month with plans to expand further in coming weeks. Nandan Amladi, Imtiaz Koujalgi, and Kenneth Wong have joined as Directors, and Robert Harrington has joined as a Managing Director and Software Product Manager.

“We are excited to launch a new approach to covering software companies at Guggenheim that will drive more relevant content for our clients and allows us to develop a deeper level of research,” said Stefano Natella, Co-Head of Equities. “Rather than a large- and small-cap combined approach, we will instead focus on the different software segments with one analyst responsible for all companies in each vertical, such as human resources, security, digital design, and cloud.”

Robert Harrington has two decades of experience in software research. He will be the team’s Product Manager. He most recently worked at Sapinda Invest, USA where he was the Senior Global Technology Analyst. Prior to Sapinda, he was a TMT analyst at Esaplier Global Management. He began his career at Credit Suisse research. Mr. Harrington holds a B.A in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.

Nandan Amladi has more than 25 years of experience in software research and the software industry. At Guggenheim, his focus will be on Human Capital Management and Communications Software. He joined most recently from Deutsche Bank where he was a senior analyst. Before Deutsche, he was a Director in Strategy and Planning at Alcatel-Lucent and NCR. Mr. Amladi received his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, his M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.

Imtiaz Koujalgi has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In his role at Guggenheim, he will be focused on Security and Data Analytics Software. Prior to joining, Mr. Koujalgi was a Director at Aurmedis Global, a TMT focused hedge fund. Before Aurmedis, he covered software in the Deutsche Bank equity research group. Mr. Koujalgi is a CFA Charterholder, and he received his MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and his B.S. in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, India.

Kenneth Wong has more than 13 years of experience in software research. At Guggenheim, his focus will be on Vertical Applications and SMB Software. He joins most recently from Citigroup where he was a senior analyst in Citi Investment Research. Before Citigroup, he worked at Cowen and Company, and he began his career at Bear Stearns. Mr. Wong is a CFA Charterholder, and he received his B.A. in Political Economies from the University of California, Berkeley.

Messrs. Harrington, Amladi, Koujalgi, and Wong are based in Guggenheim’s New York office.
