Guggenheim Securities Hires Cory Wishengrad to Broaden its Structured Products Capabilities

Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced the hiring of Cory Wishengrad as a senior managing director.

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced the hiring of Cory Wishengrad as a senior managing director. Mr. Wishengrad will focus on further developing the firm’s capabilities in asset-backed securities. He will join Guggenheim Securities in February.

Mr. Wishengrad joins Guggenheim from Barclays, where as co-head of the Securitized Products Origination Group, Americas, he led landmark transactions such as the $1.675 billion Domino’s Pizza (2012) and $1.15 billion CKE Restaurants (Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr.) (2013) whole business securitizations, the $1.1 billion Iconix (2012/2013) brand licensing securitization program, the $1.8 billion American Tower (2013) and $1.33 billion SBA Communications (2013) wireless tower securitizations and the $500 million Miramax (2011) film library securitization, among many others for clients such as Hertz, Avis and J.G. Wentworth. Mr. Wishengrad joined Barclays from Lehman Brothers, which he joined in 1999 and where at the time of Barclays’ acquisition of Lehman he led the Esoteric Asset-Backed Securities group.

Mr. Wishengrad holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
