Guggenheim Securities Hires Securities Executive Matthew Johnson

Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced the hiring of Matthew Johnson as a Senior Managing Director.

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced the hiring of Matthew Johnson as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Johnson will work closely with senior management within Guggenheim Securities to further develop its markets platforms.

Mr. Johnson spent 19 years at Lehman Brothers and Barclays, following its acquisition of Lehman in 2008. At Barclays, he ran the equities business for the U.S., Canadian and Latin American markets and also served on the Equity Operating Committee. Before that, he ran the bank’s global equity syndicate.

Mr. Johnson earned his BA and MBA from Penn State University.
