Guggenheim Partners, LLC today announced that John A. Casesa has joined Guggenheim Securities, the firm’s investment banking and capital markets arm, as senior managing director. Casesa, who has 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, will lead the firm’s investment banking activities in this important area.

Most recently, Casesa led Casesa & Co., an advisory firm serving major corporations, investors and governments in the global auto industry. Previously he served as managing director and global coordinator for Automotive Research at Merrill Lynch and managing director at Wertheim Schroder & Co. Institutional Investor ranked Casesa as an All-Star analyst 11 times in its annual survey. Prior to Wall Street, he was employed by General Motors Corporation.
Casesa is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Automotive Industry Agenda Council and has served as an advisor at its annual gathering in Davos. He was a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s User Advisor Council and a founding member of the New York Stock Exchange’s Research Analyst Qualification Exam Committee. Casesa holds a B.S. from St. John’s University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
