Guggenheim Partners today announced that Mark Van Lith has joined Guggenheim Securities as Senior Managing Director. Most recently, Mr. Van Lith was the co-head of media investment banking at J.P. Morgan. Previously, he served as head of media banking at Bear Stearns. He will be based in Guggenheim’s New York office.

Mr. Van Lith’s expertise within the media/entertainment industries developed during his tenure at Bear Stearns, where he began working in 1990. Prior to becoming head of media banking, he held various senior positions within the M&A arena, including head of media mergers and acquisitions and head of international mergers and acquisitions. His clients have included CBS, Time Warner, Viacom, and Vulcan Capital.
