Peter Comisar Joins Guggenheim Securities as Vice Chairman and Head of West Coast Investment Banking

Senior Banker Advised on Over $100 Billion of Transactions During 20-Year Career at Goldman Sachs

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Partners today announced that Peter H. Comisar has joined Guggenheim Securities as Vice Chairman and head of West Coast Investment Banking. Mr. Comisar, 42, who will be based in Los Angeles, joins Guggenheim after a 20-year career at Goldman Sachs, where he held various senior positions as a Partner Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division. Most recently, he was responsible for consumer and retail sector investment banking activities on the West Coast.

Mr. Comisar has been with Goldman Sachs since 1989 in New York and Los Angeles. He spent a decade in New York as a key member of the Firm's corporate finance, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions groups. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1999 with responsibility for client coverage and transaction execution for many of the largest West Coast and Pacific Northwest-based corporate clients. He holds a B.A. from Colgate University.
